This course is designed for students planning to pursue a career in the medical field. Students will
be looking at the anatomy and physiology of human body systems, common disorders for each
system and testing/treatment procedures for those disorders. Body systems include: the skin,
glands, stomach/intestines, lungs/heart, kidneys, eyes, muscles/skeleton, brain/mental health, and
immune system. Students will complete a number of projects to demonstrate understanding
(including but not limited to note cards, presentations, personal interviews and artwork). We will be
using the NCLEX practical nursing exam as the framework for the course.
